A personal project. Momento is a guided memory book built to help children discover and keep their mother's life stories. One hundred and twenty prompts invite a mother to write about her own childhood, what she wanted, who she loved, and what raising children actually did to her.

Designed end to end — concept, prompts, layout — pairing gentle visuals with the harder work of getting someone to answer honestly. It started from wanting to know my own mother better.
