Japanese Flow
Branding
Overview
Japanese Flow is a Japanese teacher working between Japan and Vietnam, moving beyond one-to-one lessons into a YouTube channel and an online community.
The brand had to work on a thumbnail, inside a community, and across everything a teaching business touches.

The challenge
Language teaching on YouTube looks the same almost everywhere — stock typefaces, borrowed layouts, nothing that belongs to the teacher. Standing out mattered more than looking polished.
The client also had no design background, so every decision had to be explained in a way that made sense without jargon.

Approach
We started from the spirit behind the brand rather than from references, and built outward — including a custom typeface, so the identity could not be mistaken for the template channels sitting next to it.
Everything was documented, and anything technical came with a recorded explanation. The point was never to hand over files. It was to hand over something the client understood well enough to use on his own.
