Saori Yoga & Wellness
Branding + Website
Overview
Saori Yoga & Wellness offers yoga, massage and counselling, blending traditional teaching with Japanese thought. Saori has taught for over a decade, and the practice rests on two ideas: wabi-sabi, beauty in imperfection, and ikigai, a reason to get up.
The brief covered the full brand — strategy, identity and the site it lives on.

The challenge
Wellness branding drifts toward the same soft, weightless look, and a Japanese influence risks arriving as decoration rather than meaning. Both had to be real.
The brand needed to hold three qualities at once without any of them cancelling the others: authenticity, connection and trustworthiness.

Approach
The palette starts from aizome indigo — a dye that never repeats itself exactly — grounded by a brownish grey for warmth and weight.
The wordmark's A is missing its crossbar. Imperfection is stated rather than described. The mark combines asa-no-ha and mandala patterns for growth and resilience, and water textures carry balance and movement.
Every element traces back to something Saori actually believes, which means she can explain any of it without us in the room.
