Overview
Momoko photographs newborns, births, weekday afternoons and Shichigosan from a base in Tokyo. The work is close and unhurried — light on a face, a hand being held, the ordinary things people want back later.
The site had to carry that tone without competing with it, and to make a fairly wide range of sessions simple to understand and book.

The challenge
The range of sessions was the difficulty. Newborn, birth, everyday family and Shichigosan all ask for different things from a client, and presenting them as one flat list left people unsure which one they were actually looking for.
The design also had to stay soft without becoming vague.

Approach
Sessions were separated by the moment they belong to rather than by format, so a parent recognises their situation before they read a price. A restrained pastel palette and generous space keep the interface quiet and let the photographs carry the feeling.
Momoko was trained to update the site herself, with recorded walkthroughs to return to.
